The Spring 2013 session of the Successful Facility Planning Seminar by Wilson Estes Police Architects was held on May 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Kansas City, Missouri. With 17 attendees representing 11 agencies at various points in the process of investigating their needs for new facilities, it was a very interactive group that covered a wealth of topics in a short period of time. This spring session included a tour of the North Kansas City Police Headquarters project as well as a project retrospective by representatives of the Marion Police Department.
It is our hope that they left the seminar with the necessary tools and a framework of understanding for how city and public safety administrators can be a crucial part of initiating and leading the process that results in new or improved facilities for their departments.
